The City of Mason is partnering with community volunteers to host Picture Mason! A Downtown Art Hop event on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 3 to 7 p.m. Community members are encouraged to join the fun by submitting artwork depicting their favorite Mason location as well as attend the Downtown Art Hop event and explore all of the unique small businesses that call Mason home!
WHAT: An invitation to community members to express their love of Mason through the Downtown Art Hop. Any community member, novice or experienced is welcome to depict their favorite places in the City of Mason on a complimentary 8”x10” canvas. Depictions can be created through various forms of art from paint to picture collage! Community members’ artwork will be displayed in designated small businesses throughout the Mason Mile as part of the Downtown Art Hop on Saturday, October 21 from 3 to 7 p.m.
WHEN: Saturday, October 21 from 3 to 7 p.m.
WHY: The purpose of the Picture Mason! Downtown Art Hop event is to create an experience that promotes Mason and the Downtown Mason Mile, energizes the community, strengthens connection between citizens and businesses, all while enhancing the arts in Mason!
WHO: All community members are invited to participate despite their age or experience level. Participants will be responsible for picking up a FREE 8”x10” canvas at the designated pick up locations listed below. Participants will be responsible for submitting their artwork no later than noon on Friday, October 6 in order to provide event organizers ample time to review artwork and begin displaying throughout participating businesses along the Mason Mile in anticipation of the Art Hop event on Saturday, October 21 from 3 to 7 p.m.
